First of all, this last assignment it`s about writing an essay about the advantages and disadvantages of using blogs in the English classroom. In first place, a blog is a personal space to put all you want to about different kind of stuff, about your personal life, about your likes and dislikes, about things that you enjoy, you can write about anything you want. In this essay, we will discuss about the relevance of this media, and the possible advantages and disadvantages of using this type of communication in ours English class.
In this particular blog, you write about different assignment that are related with different topics, and it’s a way of known a little more of what you think, and it’s also a tool for knowing how do you write and express yourself in this language. One of the main advantages of using a blog is that works like a special motivation and a new way to learn, so it increases the creativity and the desire to work on the students. Also it’s a way of being always connected with the world, and allows us to read what other classmates think about different topics, knowing more about their lives.
Another point of view admits that there are some disadvantages about using blogs in the class. One of them is that not everyone has access to this type of media in their homes, so they can’t work on their blogs during their free time. Another disadvantages is that not everyone feel comfortable exposing their thoughts in a massive media, where all people can enter and have access to what you are writing.
Finally, returning to what I previously said, we can find good and bad stuffs about the possibility of using blogs in our English class, although I think that it’s a new way (more fun) of learning and allow to the student be creative and do new things. But I also think that we must be careful when we expose our thoughts in a website because we have to know that everyone could read what you write.
